Challenging a band review rarely backfires. Across England & Wales, about 41% of resolved band reviews ended in a lower band and fewer than 1% went up.
In South East, 8,140 band challenges were resolved across 64 billing authorities in 2023-24, and 26.2% resulted in a reduction.
