Challenging a band review rarely backfires. Across England & Wales, about 41% of resolved band reviews ended in a lower band and fewer than 1% went up.
In Wales, 1,940 band challenges were resolved across 22 billing authorities in 2023-24, and 35.1% resulted in a reduction.
